Oyibo Chukwu, Labour Party Senatorial Candidate killed in Enugu

 

Oyibo Chukwu, the Labour Party (LP) candidate for the Enugu East Senatorial seat, has been killed. Oyibo, a lawyer allegedly came under attack after visiting the Agbani region for a campaign event.

Three others were reportedly in the car with him, it was reported that they were burnt inside. How many passengers that died, however, could not be established.

The details of the attack were still relatively vague. But, a party source who begged to be unnamed corroborated the occurrence. It was also reported that Uche Nnaji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor in the state, was attacked near the scene of Oyibo's death.
