On Tuesday, Netflix said that its subscriber base reached 232.5 million in the first three months of this year, and that its nascent ad-supported tier is doing well.
However, after-market trading on Netflix shares saw a drop of more than 3% as the leading provider of streaming television announced a profit of $1.3 billion that was in line with forecasts.
