Saudi Arabia to offer about £100m to Mourinho to coach National Team

 The Daily Mail reports that Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma, has allegedly received an offer of more than £100 million to coach Saudi Arabia in a two-year contract, making him the highest paid manager in history.

As current manager Rudi Garcia is expected to resign at the conclusion of the current season. The English news outlet on Thursday also reported that Cristiano Ronaldo's club Al-Nassr is also interested in Mourinho. 

The 60-year-old Portuguese signed a deal with Serie A powerhouse Roma in 2021, and it is currently set to expire in 2024.

There have been disagreements regarding moves, though, and disappointments with Roma's results this year.

Mourinho has now been directly contacted by "top management" to lead the Saudi Arabia national team while his future at the Italian club is still in doubt.

The agreement contains two options for Mourinho and £52 (€60m) per year, according to Corriere dello Sport.

At the conclusion of the first season, he would have the option of terminating the agreement or extending it until 2026, the year of the North American World Cup.
