Ecobank has stated that it will assist company owners in the Adire sector to expand around the nation and Africa.
The bank demonstrated its support by hosting the "Adire Experience," a three-day exhibition event in its second edition that drew a sizable number of purchasers and other influential people from throughout the nation.
Adekola Adeleke, the Executive Director of Ecobank's Commercial Banking, explained that Adire Lagos is an Ecobank Nigeria initiative that enables its clients to openly exhibit their goods and connect them with consumers.
"We inform the public about this program, we give advance notice, and we also advertise and ask for requests for prospective merchants," he stated, describing the requirements for the participating enterprises.
"Only that you must be a Nigerian entrepreneur and you must be a member of the Nigerian garment textile sector; those are the qualifications that we will look at.
“Most importantly, you must be able to showcase via digital platforms, whether it is Instagram or WhatsApp or Facebook. You must be able to have showcased what you have made.”
He declared that the bank, with its presence in 33 nations, was dedicated to helping its clients grow their companies within the African Continental Free Trade Area.
He stated that Ecobank was dedicated to advancing African and Nigerian culture. According to him, the bank offered services that let its users sign up for the app and promote their goods there. He also mentioned that other Africans on the continent may use the program.
He said, “When you look at the impact that the bank is making, in the SME sector in Nigeria, so you will see that there is a need to actually deepen the opportunities in the adire market, getting adire to be better produced in enhancing the quality, and give our Nigerian producers, the opportunity to be able to sell to other Africans. We are better positioned to actually support them.”
Beyond providing the normal financial advisory services, he said, it planned to be the bank that can actually connect enterpreneurs across Africa.
