Dr. Folashade Ayoade has been appointed Secretary to the State Government, as announced by Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo.
Ayoade hails from the Kogi West Senatorial constituency and served as the SSG for the final eight years of Yayaha Bello's tenure as governor. The governor also declared Ali Bello's nomination to the position of Chief of Staff.

The bulk of these commissioner-designates were former commissioners under the previous governor, and the governor also announced their appointments.
They are Salami Deedat, the former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Wemi Jones, the former commissioner for education, Bashir Gegu, Idris Ashiru, the former commissioner for solid minerals, and Kingsley Fanwo, the former commissioner for information.
