The largest bank in Nigeria, Access Holdings, has purchased the insurance brokerage firm Megatech Insurance Brokers Limited.
The company revealed this in a statement on Monday.
“This acquisition is a natural step in our evolution as a globally connected community and ecosystem and aligns with our mission to build and sustain one global platform, open for anyone to join where people can be connected to exceptional opportunities,” Herbert Wigwe, group chief executive officer of Access Holdings said in the statement.
According to him, the company will use cutting-edge risk management tools and governance standards to build and deliver intelligent solutions that reduce the particular risks faced by people and enterprises in a world that is always evolving.
He continued by saying that the acquisition of the business advances Access Holdings' goal of creating an interconnected global community of ecosystems inspired by Africa for the entire world by enhancing its current array of product offerings.
"Megatech aims to establish an environment where risk is effectively handled, enabling us to boldly pursue and grasp opportunities for expansion."
