The premium content branch of Sony Music Entertainment has teamed up with Leo Messi Management SL to create the series, which will be made available in a variety of languages, including English and Spanish. The series is geared toward younger audiences and will feature a young Paris Saint-Germain forward navigating his way past various obstacles while moving through a video game. Sony Music Entertainment composers and artists will provide the series' original music.
When the project was officially announced on Monday, Messi, who eventually won the World Cup with Argentina in Qatar 2022, revealed his delight about it, saying: "My children are huge fans of cartoon characters, and I have always enjoyed animated television shows. I'm excited to be able to work on an animation project because it allows me to realize a dream! We hope that everyone will enjoy the finished product, especially the girls and boys, and I would like to thank Sony Music for participating in this initiative."
"It is a privilege for Sony Music to collaborate with Lionel Messi on this project to showcase the power and lessons of sports in partnership with the greatest football player of all time and one of the greatest athletes in history," added Fernando Cabral, executive vice president of Sony Music Entertainment.
