Colt Gray, 14, made his first court appearance on Friday following his arrest for the fatal shooting of two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. Gray used a semiautomatic rifle during the attack on September 5. His father, Colin Gray, 53, was also arrested for allowing his son access to the weapon and faces charges including involuntary manslaughter and second-degree murder. During the hearing, the teen appeared subdued, confirming his name and rights but speaking little. His lawyer did not request bail.

The father and son are both facing serious charges, and investigations are ongoing.
